State of the Art Dental Technology

iTero Scanner in

iTero Scanner

Digitally captures the structure of the teeth and gums using the latest optical technology.
The scanner is a compact, hand-held wand and eliminates the need for traditional impressions in most cases.

LUM Camera in

LUM Camera

A high-tech camera that discovers teeth cracks that are invisible to the eye.

The LUM’s specialized LED technology applies a high-intensity light source to the tooth with unique positioning so that the light is traveling perpendicular to the plane of the tooth. In a tooth, without impurities, the light will travel uninterrupted from the buccal surface to the lingual, which can be observed on the occlusal table of the tooth by its uniform illumination. When a tooth has impurities such as fractures or leaking amalgam, the light is dispersed showing up clearly in near X-ray like images.

Cone Beam CT Imaging in

CBCT 3-D Dental Imaging

Our oral imaging system gives our practice the ability to capture high quality digital images, all while limiting dose exposure, which means a safer and quicker dental visit for our patients. Digital images are available for viewing almost immediately and images can even be captured much quicker, using less radiation than standard x-rays.

CEREC CEREC Same Day Crowns & Bridges in

CEREC Same Day Crowns & Bridges

We are proud to be a recognized provider of the CEREC Cad Cam technology to our Fairfax patients. The CEREC Cad Cam system keeps us in the forefront of current dental technology. We can produce a dazzling all-porcelain crown, veneer, inlay, or onlay in less than 2 hours in our Fairfax office. Scanning your prepared tooth with the AC BlueCam produces an image that is more accurate than taking an impression with that old goopy stuff and it takes only seconds. Within minutes we can design and mill a custom restoration.

VELScope digital oral cancer detection in

VELScope Digital Oral Cancer Detection

Oral cancer screenings are a very important part of the dental visit for the patient. With the advances in modern technology, we are now able to pinpoint the start of a potential problem much earlier in its evolution. The ability to do so is extremely important in being able to treat any issues prior to them becoming a major irreversible problem. At Breeze Dental, we use the VELscope® Vx to accurately screen and diagnose oral cancer

Digital X-Rays in

Low Radiation Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays use a digital image capture device in place of traditional film, sending an image immediately to a computer. The result is a highly-detailed image of the mouth, and its contrast and resolution can be enhanced to more easily diagnose dental problems and determine the best treatment with less radiation.

Intra-Oral Camera in

High Resolution Intra-Oral cameras

The intraoral camera is an amazing diagnostic tool for viewing different angles in the mouth that we would not have been able to just a few years ago. The camera gives us the ability to view the entire mouth on a monitor so that we can get a closer look at any potential issues or problems that may arise. In addition, the patient will have the ability to see for themselves first hand the same images we are seeing. These digital images are also excellent for gaining procedure acceptance from insurance companies.

Laughing Gas (Nitrous Oxide)

Laughing Gas is the most commonly used form of sedation in dentistry. It is administered by having the patient inhale the gas, which is carefully monitored by your doctor. You will fall into a euphoric state and feel completely relaxed. All feelings of fear and anxiety fade away, leaving you to sit back peacefully while your dental procedure is performed. In most cases all dental work can be completed in one visit while you are sedated.

Laughing Gas sedation is very safe and effective. Once the procedure is over the Laughing Gas will wear off fairly quickly, and you will probably be able to drive yourself home and return to your daily activities. You will need to have a preliminary visit with your dentist to make sure that you are an eligible candidate for Laughing Gas sedation. If you have been worried about your next dental visit its time to stop! Ask us about sedation dentistry and schedule your appointment today.
