Meet Dr. Karras

Dr. Karras is a life-long Chicagoan. He attended Lane Technical High School and received his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Dentistry with Honors and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, where he graduated in the top ten in his class and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

Meet Dr. Maria

Dr. Maria was born 8 weeks after her father, Dr. Spiro Karras, began his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency in Boston.

She began working in her father’s practice when she was 18 years old and was quickly inspired to follow in his footsteps. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago, with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences.

Dr. Maria Karras was amazing. She is professional, friendly and caring and explained the procedure and all my options and possibilities before starting which made me feel so comfortable. My extraction turned into two extractions, but Dr. Karras and her team made it go so smoothly. From my initial call to set up an appointment to the completion of my procedure, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The office is clean, welcoming and extremely professional.
