Denise Fullerton
Practice Coordinator
Denise joined Joplin Dental Care April of 2001. She was previously a Dental Assistant for over 12 years before broadening her skills and joining the ranks in the front office. For the past 20+ years Denise has enjoyed assisting our patients with dental financing and maximizing their dental benefits. She also helps patients through their treatment needs and assists with the transition on other dental specialists.
Denise has been married to her husband Darren since July of 1986. They reside north of Joplin in the Carl Junction school district were they raised their two sons Ryan & Clayton. Their oldest son, Ryan served in the Army Reserves for six years and then graduated from MSSU in December 2016. Ryan met his wife Hannah while attending college at MSSU. They currently reside in Galveston, Texas.
Their youngest son, Clayton, graduated from Carl Junction High School in 2017. He has attended classes at MSSU and is currently working in in Joplin.
Denise enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, sports, gardening, baking and spending time with her family and friends.
Sylvia
Dental Hygienist
Sylvia joined the Joplin Dental Care team in October of 2020 while filling in for Shauna’s maternity coverage. She is a 2011 graduate of the MSSU Dental Hygiene Program. Sylvia and her significant other, Jason, have a blended family of 4 kids. She has two girls that attend Webb City High School, and also two Yorkie fur babies. She enjoys working out in the yard and spending time with her friends pool side. She also has a passion for healthy living, fitness and CrossFit.
Andrea
Clinical Coordinator/Dental Assistant
Andrea is our Clinical Coordinator and has been with Joplin Dental Care for over 26 years. She graduated in 1993 from Dental Careers Institute, received her RDA in 2003 and is Expanded Function certified. Andrea has been married to her husband David since 1997 and they have 2 wonderful children, Evan and Kensington. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, running, reading and attending her children’s many activities.
Gracie
Dental Hygienist
Gracie joined Joplin Dental Care in the summer of 2023. She grew up and still lives in Carthage, MO. She then graduated from Missouri Southern State University’s dental hygiene program with an associate’s degree in dental hygiene, and a bachelors degree in health science with a minor in biology. Gracie loves to show compassion to her patients and wants everyone to feel welcomed in her chair. Gracie enjoys watching movies, hiking, baking, and has always had a love for kiddos.
Stacey Landes
Greeter/New Patient Coordinator
Stacey joined Joplin Dental Care in July of 2015. She may be the first person that you talk to on the phone when you call our office. She enjoys helping patients get established with our team and making your first experience a pleasant one. Stacey is married to her High School sweetheart, Chris. They have two grown sons, Josh and Trent. The summer of 2021 was busy as both of her son were married . Trent was married to Michaela in May, and Josh was married to Valerie in September. They havetwo beautiful granddaughters, Avery and Abby. Her hobbies include running, golf, horseback riding, camping, and spending time with family & friends.
Kim Sargent
Dental Hygienist
Kim joined Joplin Dental Care in 2021 as a dental hygienist. She grew up in Parsons, KS but attended and graduated from Oswego High School in 2011. She then attended Labette Community College where she graduated in 2013. She continued her education at MSSU in the Dental Hygiene program where she received her degree in 2015. Kim now lives in Carthage, MO with her husband, Justin, and his son, Grant. Kim enjoys going to concerts, being outdoors, and playing with her three dogs Daisy, Copper and Spike.
Desiree
Dental Assistant
Desiree joined Joplin Dental Care in the summer of 2015. She attended the dental assistant program at Labette Community College and received her Associates degree in applied science. Desiree passed the Dental Assisting National Boards in September 2015, and became Expanded Function Certified in 2018. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Andrew, and together they have 3 amazing children, Eric, Gavin and Paige. Desiree likes to spend time with family and friends; she also enjoys reading and watching the Kansas City Chiefs.
Becky Scott
Hygiene Coordinator
Becky has been in the dental field for a little over 20 years. She has always worked in front office because she loves being able to greet patients and walk them through the checkout process. She has been happily married for 10 years, and has 4 sons and 13 grandkids that she is very proud of. Becky loves gardening, cooking, spending time with family, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.
Ashley
Dental Assistant
Ashley joined the Joplin Dental Care team in March of 2021. She is new to the dental field but enjoys learning everything that comes with being a dental assistant. Ashley has been married to her husband, Robert, since 2011 and they have two amazing children, Cole and Allyssa. Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, drag racing, reading, camping, and cheering on her kids in their various sports.
