Meet Dr. Matthew Lake, DMD
Welcome to Lake Family Dental! My name is Dr. Matthew Lake, and I’m proud to serve the Eugene community by providing compassionate, high-quality dental care to families and individuals of all ages.
As a general dentist, I am passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles in a welcoming and stress-free environment. I take the time to listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and create personalized treatment plans tailored to your unique needs. Whether it’s routine dental care, restorative treatments, cosmetic enhancements, or dental emergencies, my goal is to ensure that every visit leaves you feeling comfortable and cared for.
My journey to dentistry has been shaped by a deep connection to education and a love for serving others. A proud graduate of Willamette High School right here in Eugene, I first earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Language & Culture from Southern Oregon University. I then pursued a Master of Arts in Teaching degree with a focus on Education, also from Southern Oregon University, and followed in the footsteps of my parents and most of my siblings by becoming a teacher and coach. However, my desire to make a difference in people’s lives in a more individualized way led me to dentistry. I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from The University of New England College of Dental Medicine in Portland, Maine, where I developed the skills and knowledge to provide exceptional dental care.
I’ve been fortunate to call Eugene and the Willamette Valley home for many years. My wife and I are raising our four children here, and we love the vibrant community, beautiful landscapes, and outdoor opportunities that this area offers. Outside of the office, you can often find me enjoying nature walks, scenic drives with my family, or taking day trips to the Oregon Coast.
