Meet Dr. Michael Park, DMD, MS

First and foremost, I want to be remembered by my patients as someone who took the time in providing a thorough examination that is specifically catered to individual needs by means of honest and friendly communication.

Before finding my passion in dentistry, I earned my bachelor’s degree at the Pennsylvania State University in neurobiology and pursued a path of research in neurobiology, especially in the area of neuronal regeneration. I have spent time as a researcher, where I have published about 15 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals that were in association with Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, and Harvard Medical University in Boston, MA.

After my career as a researcher, I was drawn to the aspect of combining humanistic and scientific components in dental medicine. Along the journey of earning my dental degree, I was fortunate to learn from many mentors who specialized in esthetic, prosthetic, and surgical dental treatments that paved the way in establishing high standards of dental health care.

I was and currently am a member of Spear Education, American Dental Association, and another online continuing education platform as a source of my ongoing education and recently completed advanced hands-on surgical training in Guatemala and 300 hours of implant training with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

I have come to realize that educating patients and helping them make well-informed decisions is paramount in establishing trust between the caregiver and patients and I noticed that the outcomes have been satisfying to both parties.

Smile Park Dental is my own practice where I can express my passion for patient care and access dental care at its finest. I am an active member of continuing post-grad education courses and am a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. I am also a fellow with the ICOI and AAIP. In the future, I would like to get to know the community better through charitable organizations or volunteering events and become a valuable member of this community.

I am happily married with one daughter and one son. I love to play piano, cook for the family, and visit small shops with my loving wife.
