Dr. Everett Case, DMD DDS, Best Dentist in Albemarle, NC 28001

Background and Credentials

James Everett Case II, DMD, was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. Dr. Case’s journey to dentistry was unconventional. He studied History in undergraduate school at the Pennsylvania State University and planned to become an attorney. While working as a Legal Assistant in Washington D.C., after college, he started orthodontic treatment and began observing dentistry. He was inspired to change course.

A Sincere Passion for Dentistry

While studying to apply to dental school, Dr. Case spent time in the research side of dentistry. He worked as a clinical research associate at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. He helped with studies related to TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders in the Orofacial Pain Clinic.

Dr. Case also volunteered at a free medical and dental clinic Brunswick County, NC, and volunteered part time at a dental lab in Wilmington, NC.

Dr. Case was accepted into Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. His clinical work included excellent instruction involving treatment among a diverse dental patient population. After graduating from Tufts, Dr. Case enrolled in the Implant Continuum at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, a program accredited by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. This intensive program featured didactic training in the most recent techniques and materials in dental implant placement.

While the academic training Dr. Case received at Columbia was invaluable, he wanted to follow with clinical training from some of the leading dentists in implant dentistry. Dr. Case enrolled with the Dominican Training Institute (DTI), in a program conducted in the Instituto Odontologico del Este (IODE) in the Dominican Republic. Dr. Case was able to refine his skills in implant placement, bone grafts, membrane placement, and tissue flaps.

Dr. Case has over seven years of clinical experience in North Carolina and South Carolina. He is highly proficient in fillings, crowns, extractions, root canals, dentures, partials, implants, and numerous other procedures for patients. While the office is not currently equipped for root canals or implants, Dr. Case intends to acquire equipment for both procedures at Little Long Creek Dental in the future.

In His Free Time

Dr. Case enjoys continuing to learn about many different aspects of general dentistry. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Case enjoys fishing, watching football and lacrosse and basketball, gardening, spending time with his wife and their two beagles, and looking forward to the birth of their first child.
