Why Implant Supported Dentures?

Increased chewing ability

Did you know when you lose your teeth and begin your denture journey you lose almost 90% of your ability to chew food like you used to? With the addition of implants to your denture you are able to regain a large portion of that ability back!

Increased confidence

With your new denture securely fastened to your new implants you will no longer have to worry about your lower denture moving around while talking or eating.

Reduce Bone Loss

When losing teeth, the bone that supported those teeth shrinks over time, giving that collapsed face\cheek appearance. Also known as the “paw paw” and “maw Maw’ look. With Implants, that bone now has something keeping it from shrinking and keeps your jaw bone strong.

Implant Supported Dentures, also known as Snap-In Dentures, consist of four parts.

1) Two to Four Dental Implants

These titanium screws are fixated into the jaw and then left for 4 months to integrate with your jaw bone

2) Two to Four Abutments

These titanium screws are fixated into the jaw and then left for 4 months to integrate with your jaw bone

3) Locators

These are snap-in fixtures that are integrated into your new denture to help the implant and denture snap together

4) Denture

Your brand new denture will have a special mesh integrated into it to add strength and stability so we can ensure a long lasting fit and durability for your new snap in denture

Cost of Implant Supported ‘Snap-In’ Dentures

Two Implant Snap-In Denture

Cost $5,370

Replaces all bottom teeth with a secure denture held together by two implants.
Includes Implant, Abutment, and Crown.

Fee does not include other treatments, which may be required in some circumstances, such as bone grafts or extractions

4 Implant Snap-in Denture

Cost $7,640

Replaces all bottom teeth with a secure denture held together by four implants
Includes four implants, four abutments, and lower snap in denture.

Fee does not include other treatments, which may be required in some circumstances, such as bone grafts or extractions

What’s the difference? While the two implant option is helpful, it is more of a starter option for most patients. Both options will help keep your denture in place while eating and talking. The four implant option will increase your security and bite force drastically over the two implant option and also give you options in the future to convert towards a fixed, or screw in, implant denture.

Will my insurance cover any of this?

Under most circumstances, the short answer is NO. The vast majority of dental insurance companies do not cover dental implants. Medicare\Medicaid and health insurances will not help cover these procedures either. The rare few dental insurances that do cover your implants tend to have clauses that state they will not replace a tooth that is already missing. Even though this is normally the case, our office will do everything we can to try and get your dental insurance to help cover a portion of the procedure you decide to move forward with.
