How We’re Ensuring Your Health & Safety
Dear Families,
It really can't be said enough: Your health, and the health of our employees, is our top priority. Every decision we make is through that lens. We want to be sure the approach we are taking in our healthcare facility is thoughtful, and that we are creating a dental environment that is safe for everyone. Unfortunately, dental conditions, pathology, and infection wait for no one.
Due to the Alameda Health Department and CDC recommendations, our waiting room capacity is limited. Please plan to possibly wait for your children outside in our courtyard or in the comfort of your vehicle should the waiting room be full. We will call and let you know when they are finished with their appointment!
What Are Some Of Our Office Protocols That Keep Your Family Safe?
We take pride that in our dental office the application of the strictest, evidenced-based universal infection control measures have always been a top priority and we will continue to follow the latest recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control. In our effort to continue to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and increase our patient and staff safety, we have implemented the following protocols:
- Patients will be scheduled for dental appointments between 9am and 5pm. Staff will be available for phone calls at 8am.
- All patients will have a short phone interview as your appointment is confirmed.
- Please arrive with a mask or face covering, including your child if they are two or older.
- WWhen you arrive, we will reconfirm that you do not have any cold, flu or allergy symptoms (allergy symptoms may mimic flu symptoms).
- We will take everyone’s temperature with a ‘no touch’ thermometer.
- We may ask your children to use a pre-procedural over-the-counter mouth rinse (Peroxyl 1.5% hydrogen peroxide) as recommended by the American Dental Association.
- We conduct daily health screenings of our employees.
- Our office takes steps to allow for social distancing of six feet or more, including limiting the number of patients and parents in the office at any one time.
- To continue with social distancing recommendations, we politely request that only the patient enter the back office for dental treatment. We appreciate your understanding, and we will make exceptions as needed.
- Whole office air filtration system and an advanced pathogen control system known as Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization is being utilized. Essentially it cleans our office air by eliminating bacteria, viruses, and even odors.
