Meet Brian S. Shapiro, DMD
Dr. Brian Shapiro is a Philadelphia native and grew up in the city. He received his undergraduate degree from Temple University in 1988 and his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. After dental school, he completed advanced training in dentistry in the General Practice Residency at Abington Memorial Hospital in 1992.
Dr. Brian has been in practice at our current location in Philadelphia since 1992. He is also an attending dentist in the General Practice Residency at the renamed Jefferson Abington Hospital, training newly graduated dentists the same way he was trained.
Dr. Brian enjoys filmmaking, and has even had several short films shown on Good Morning America. He builds miniatures, paints, plays tennis and golf, and especially loves cheering his Philadelphia Eagles. He is also a member of Garrison Carida of the 501st Legion, a Star Wars costume group sanctioned by Disney/Lucasfilm to make appearances at events on behalf of children’s charities.
